Development of my jacket
Monday, 25 October 2010
Today was our presentation day, we all met up as a group and practice just a few more times before actually presenting because i think we were all a bit nervouse. I dont really mind talking in front of people and i found it a lot better when we were stood up there as a group. People seemed interested in our idea, and im think it went pretty well. The link to our group blog is below if you want to have a look.

PPRD - Group project.
For our first PPRD project we got into groups of 6 and each group got given an object from the modip museum. Our object was a hat made from fine cardboard which was in the honeycombe form, it pretty hard to explain so there are some images to show you. When we were first given the object we had no idea what it was because before it is expanded into a hat its doesnt really look like anything. We decided to keep a group blog to upload all our research to instead of a sketchbook because that way everyone can access it when they want, we also decided to stick to accessories with a theme of tribal and incorperating origami into it as well.
At the moment im not entirely sure about this project and how well its going to go working in a group but i hope it does, because it will be interesting to see how other people work.

Draping
Soo over the summer we got set a projct to research and create a mood board on draping, i found it really interesting because i have never done any form of draping before and it got me back into uni mode before actually coming back to uni. These are the pictures i found that stood out to me the most.

Vintage at Goodwood Festival
So over the summer i was lucky enough to go the the first Vintage at Goodwood festival. Vintage and second hand shopping has been around for years and has become more and more popular and 'fahionable' as the years have gone on. Vintage at Goodwood is a truly unique annual event which celebrates 5 decades of British Cool. It brings together and celebrates the music, fashion, film, art, dance and design from the 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, that has made Britain the world’s creative and cultural hot bed. Vintage explores this rich cultural history and the extraordinary influence that it has had on the modern world.
Below are some of my own photos and a couple of videos to show you exactly what went on.
